13 November 2007: 3 days.

3 days to FREEDOM ♥.

what was once a lively tank, became a ghost tank under the hands of man. sickly fishes staring back at me, pleading for help. i took over my dad's job, cleaned the tank, sucked the dirty water out and fished out the fishes which died in my witness. my heart sank, sank, sank, sank. why must other living beings die under the hands of man? condolences to the fishes of the black sea, which died due to the oil spill as a result of the breaking of the russian oil tank by the storm. if man didnt ship the oil, marine life wouldnt have died. now the black sea does live up to its name. but then again, who, in the developed era, can live without oil? are we being too selfish that we put our wants before others? who dictates our lives to be more superior over others?

just yesterday i was saddened when we had to close our doors on the little kitten begging for food. it was my first time experiencing playing with a kitten. it rolled, pounced, lay, sat. it even brushed itself against my legs, lying down next to it like it was my pet. how could i have rejected it? human development has neglected the needs of the other living beings. where was once their home is now ours. they're left with nowhere to go. homeless. hungry. humans are selfish beings. but then again, who would be willing to give up their homes to other living beings? who would want to rewind the time and be running for our lives to escape from the lions? who would wanna llive on the tree tops together with monkeys?

human development is an irreversible process. there is no way we can get back to the past, unless a major catastrophe hits and the earth is regenerated, and the new generation of humans are void of selfishness.
